10/09/04 - Lance Christopher's Forum is up and running! Be sure and stop in to leave Lance and his team a note and check out "Lance's Posts". Lance has posted a cool message to encourage you and bless (and it's just good reading)!
10/01/04 - Today Lance Christopher's debut album SAVED BY A WOMAN is available for purchase from his artist website www.lancechristopher.com. Dennis VanHove, spokesman for Torn Sky Records, stated, "Saved by a Woman is an album rich in creativity and depth. Lance's incredible vocal delivery weaves his diverse collection of songs into a complete, satisfying whole. From the good time Baby We're Gone, the stark candor of It's Been a Long Time Comin', the groove of Heaven Gets Down, the triumph of I Defy Gravity, to the soaring finale of The Poetry in My Emotions, (and every song in between) the album is riveting. We are very proud of Lance Christopher, the musicians and the producer, Ernie Petrangelo."
In November of 2004, the album will be available from regular brick &
mortar outlets as well as iTunes, Launch, Rhapsody, and other digital
outlets.

09/20/04 - Torn Sky Records unveils a fresh program to keep fans in direct contact with their artist’s creativity. In a phone interview, Dennis VanHove, Chief Manager of Torn Sky Records’ parent company, VanWatkins,LLC, explained,
“We wanted to break down the wall between the singer/songwriter’s creativity and his fan base. Traditionally, fans must wait for an album before they can enjoy new music... And even then they only get to hear the few songs that make the album. We asked the question “why?”. With new technologies and the accessibility of the internet, we will offer EVERY song the artist creates from guitar/vocal demo to finished product directly to the fan along with lots of video commentary and a whole bunch of extra cool stuff!
We call the program “Patron Saints” and we allow the fan to become a patron of the arts. We believe a Patron Saint is what a fan is really meant to be and Lance Christopher is the perfect artist to launch the program. He is very prolific and articulate, his art stretches into quite a few different areas, he cares a lot about his fans... actually, he just loves people and welcomes the opportunity to... well... to bring his fans into his creative world.”
Dennis VanHove’s enthusiasm is contagious. And as the music industry at large wrestles with the challenges that have come with P2P filesharing and illicit downloading, Torn Sky Records says that they aren’t concerned and instead they are embracing technology as a way to add intimacy and immediacy to the fan 2 artist relationship. He continued,
“We have worked hard to make the “Patron Saints” program an unbelievable value... It’s just a modest yearly subscription fee that opens up an unbeatable package of benefits, quality merchandise, gifts, pre-releases, autographed member’s only collector’s albums, and there’s a whole lot more. It even gives members a voice in which songs will be on Lance’s future albums to be released to the general public! New technologies have thrown open the window of possibilities for the artist and the fan to connect in fresh ways. It’s really about being a part of each other’s lives.”
“Patron
Saints” memberships will be available starting October 1st, 2004
with additional incentives for the first 250 members.
